Meet The Doctors

Jay S. Boyd, DDS

Dr. Jay S. Boyd was born in Fairmont, WV and raised in Wellsburg, WV where he graduated from Brooke High School in 1992. He earned a bachelor of Science in Physical Education and an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from Fairmont State University in 1997. He attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2005.

Dr. Boyd practiced for 3 years in Harper's Ferry, WV prior to buying Briarwood Dental Center in 2009. Dr. Boyd is an active member of the American Dental Association, the West Virginia Dental Association, and the Eastern Panhandle Dental Society where he serves as Treasurer and is the EPDS representative to the WVDA Executive Council.

Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi to whom he has been married since 2001, their two children, Jacob and Lena, and their dog, Baxter! His hobbies include cheering for his children as Jacob plays soccer and Lena competitively cheers. He also enjoys hunting, kayaking, cooking, WVU sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and fantasy football!

Dr. Boyd strives to learn the latest advances in Dentistry by attending conferences, continuing education courses, and reading professional journals. He attributes his interest in the field of Dentistry to Pamela Boyd, his mother who worked in the field as an assistant and Colonel William Krantz, his father-in-law who is a retired US Army Dentist. Dr. Boyd was voted Best Dentist by The Herald Mail in 2020.

C. Greg Stephen-Hassard, DDS, MS

Dr. Charles Gregory Stephen-Hassard was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. He attended Oregon State University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1996. A proud graduate of West Virginia University School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2005. Dr. Stephen-Hassard joined the US Navy during dental school and continued his education in the military. He completed his Masters of Science Degree from George Washington University and a 2-year residency in Comprehensive Dentistry with the US Navy in 2007. He served in the US Navy for 6 years before joining the Briarwood Dental Center team in 2009, becoming Dr. Boyd's partner the following year. Dr. Stephen-Hassard joined the West Virginia Air National Guard in 2017 as their chief of dental services.

Dr. Stephen-Hassard is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the West Virginia Dental Association, the Eastern Panhandle Dental Society, SPEAR Education Study Club in Winchester, VA, and the West Virginia Air National Guard.

Outside of work, Dr. Stephen-Hassard enjoys hunting, fishing, and beach activities, like kayaking, paddleboarding, and body surfing! 

Patrick H. Noland, DDS

Dr. Patrick Noland was born and raised in Middleway, WV. He attended Shepherd University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2009. He went on to attend West Virginia University's School of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 2015. He joined the Briarwood Dental Center team in June of 2015. Dr. Noland is currently serving as a Major in the West Virginia Air National Guard.

Dr. Noland is an active member of the American Dental Association, the West Virginia Dental Association, the Eastern Panhandle Dental Society, and the SPEAR Education Study Club with several local dental professionals. 

Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, reading, cooking, and learning new skills!
